STI offers annual credential reimbursement for every employee. This support reduces the cost of professional certifications and encourage our staff to pursue multiple credentials.
STI also provides our medical coders, auditors, physician educators, CDIS, and compliance staff monthly and/or quarterly training that is approved through AAPC and/or AHIMA for credential maintenance CEU’s. This training is current, relevant, and specific to the needs of each facility supported. Both our staff and our customers are given an opportunity to recommend topics that they have identified as training needs and the training is created to address these specific needs. We also provide individual coder trainings based on the needs identified during the QA audit process.
All training is in accordance with current official coding guidelines and facility specific coding protocols and procedures. This type of targeted training ensures ongoing and consistent accuracy across the services provided by STI staff, and it also ensures revenue cycle integrity, adherence to regulatory guidance, as well as optimal reimbursement and accurate workload capture for each facility. In addition, STI staff are consistently educated as HIM industry changes occur, and they are more confident in their ability and performance.
